Monster Hunter tweeted out saying "Monster Hunter Rise arrives on PC on 12 Jan 2022, with a sweet set of screen filters. Black & White, Sepia, Japanese Style, Warring Lands Style and Cinema Style." And they have also released a new launch trailer for what the game will look like on PC. If you're interested in Monster Hunter Rise know that it's coming out next Wednesday. The next bit of news for today is it looks like E3 2022 is going to be online only again for the third year in a row. On IGN they posted an article where it says "The ESA has canceled this in person event for E3 2022 according to a statement shared with IGN by the ESA." The ESA is ESA Foundation who runs E3. "But while they point to upcoming events, the future of the show this year and beyond remains unclear. Due to ongoing health risk surrounding (the pandemic) and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees, E3 will not be held in person in 2022. Reads the statement sent to IGN by the ESA. We remain incredibly excited about the future of E3 and look forward to announcing more details soon." As an avid gamer myself, I look forward to these big shows because like The Game Awards and so on to see all the new announcements and a lot of game developers save their announcements for these big events. Regardless of whether it's in person or online, hopefully we'll get some really good trailers this year. And the last bit of news for today is Andy McNamara, who is the global head of communications for shooters and Star Wars at EA, tweeted out saying "Back to work today. Check Reddit and Twitter and Battlefield fans are pissed we didn't do enough updates or communication during the holiday break. Guys, people gotta rest. We have things in motion, but we have to figure out what is possible. We'll address it when are 100%". And then he says "Let us get back from break and get back to work. Love you guys, but these expectations are brutal. The things you want take time to scope, design and execute." And as a result, as you can expect, there's been a massive uproar from fans on Reddit and this Tweet alone has got 12,000 up votes and 2000 comments mostly negative. And since then he's deleted this tweet and issued an apology. And there's been backlash about the apology. They just want a bug free game from looking at the community, which is to be expected really. And the memes and the videos of the bugs and so on for me personally are hilarious because I'm not really into these sort of games, I haven't been for a long time, so it's interesting to see another PR disaster for a company. And basically all I would say to that is that there are so many other developers who are worthy of the passion and love that right now Battlefield is getting. And when you see the amount of uproar on Reddit, it just shows passion. It shows that people really want this game to succeed and they don't want to be led this way. If they don't fix it quickly, then who knows what will happen eventually turned their back on the game and then just not go back to it, which is to be expected as well.
