Nintendo has acquired the development studio SRD. SRD is a development studio which has helped Nintendo since 1983 do some of the programming behind some of the their games, and they've worked on more than 100 Nintendo games over the years. The acquisition makes sense. Simply, they're a very close partner, they've been working with Nintendo for nearly 40 years, so now they're part of the Nintendo family.
And the next bit of news for today is 11 Bit Studios have released a statement where they've explained that for the next seven days they're going to be donating all money made from the game This War of Mine to the Ukrainian Red Cross in response to the invasion which is going on by Russia. This War of Mine is a game that explores the effects of war on the citizens of a country and it's a really good game. I have played it in the past. I would highly recommend it and it's great to see a game developer standing up for their beliefs and taking action rather than just words. I can't praise 11 Bit Studios enough.
The last bit of news for today is Eldon Ring has now released onto PC, Xbox and PlayStation, and there are various guides already available suggesting which classes to start as, if you're new to the Soulsborne type games. But for everyone else who's just really been looking forward to it, now that you can finally jump in, you can get the game and play. I'm going to assume it's going to be the most played game this weekend.
