Video Transcript

There was the Letter From The Producer Live LXX today for Final Fantasy XIV where they spoke about the upcoming Patch 6.1 Newfound Adventure. It'll be releasing on the 12 Apr 2022, and a new trailer dropped for it as well, if you want to check it out. And then there's new main scenario quests, new side quests, new role quests, new beast tribe quests, new Hildabrand quests, new custom deliveries. And then they showed off a little bit the Duty Support System. And they explained in detail about how it's going to work. They are splitting some of the end game dungeons for 2.0 into smaller dungeons so that you're able to go through easier with the Duty Support System. And then in 6.1 there'll be a new dungeon, a new trial, a new unreal trial, a new Alliance Raid, and a new Ultimate Duty in Patch 6.11, which will come out two weeks after 6.1. And then they spoke briefly that there will be job adjustments and PvP updates, but more on that later. And then they spoke about more plot sales and how the housing lottery system is going to work. And then they talked about miscellaneous updates, including new hairstyles for the Hrothgar race. They showed off a few screenshots of what the new hairstyles can look like, and as well as other updates to the glamour system. Then they spoke about the job updates, how Machinist is getting a buff, basically because they're apparently too weak, and then Samurai and they're adjusting Dark Knight, Dragoon, Summoner, White Mage, Scholar. All of the classes are getting one update or another in order to balance them out. Then they spoke more about the Myths of the Realm Raid, which is coming in 6.1. The first part will be called Aglaia, and they showed off some of the environment of what it will look like. And then they showed off the new hub area for the new Beast Tribe called the Arkasodara, who is the elephant race that you encountered during the Endwalker main story, as well as showing off that you'll be able to get a lot of minions and mounts and other little gadgets by completing the Beast Tribe. And then they spoke about the new Parasol. The parasol is the umbrella that you will get, as well as new glasses and shades. And then they spoke in more details about how the housing lottery system is going to work. They're moving away from this idea of first come first serve. Instead, you'll have to go through and put down your bid, and essentially you could be picked at random. It eliminates the stress of having to camp out and try and get a house, the second it's available from dozens of other people that might be waiting. And then they showed off some of the gear sets for the alliance raid coming out. They showed some images of what the gear sets can look like. They spoke about the Extreme Trial which is coming out. And then they spoke about the Adventurer Plates. You'll be able to customize what your portrait looks like. You'll be able to change the image that's put alongside it with classes, your play style, stuff like that and you'll be able to save upwards initially 20 portraits which you can use and then later you'll be able to save up to 100. Then they spoke about the Crystalline Conflict which is a new PvP mode. The Crystalline Conflict essentially is like the escort mission that you might have seen in other PvP games. You have to escort an Orb from one end of the arena to another. And then they showed how when you're queuing in for the PvP your portrait that you put in the Adventurer Plate will show in the queue. Pretty much every single class is going to get an update to how their skills work and so on. PvP is essentially getting a complete revamp for 6.1. And they spoke about the different series which is essentially seasons and how you can earn experience points and you will earn rewards if you hit level 25 plus including different armor sets. And this is what the armor sets will look like for Series One so you have to wait and see what it will be like in the future. Then they spoke about the Garo Collaboration which is going to be coming back. It has previously been in the game and it will allow you to get new achievements, titles, gear sets for Shadowbringers and Endwalker jobs. Then they spoke about The Primals, which is a band which will be performing some music in Japan. They spoke about the Endwalker Art Book which you can buy as well as a Panasonic Soundslayer Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker. On the 11 Apr 2022 just before the patch drops, they will have another live letter where they will will read through the entire patch notes.
