FFXIV Live Letter LXX Summary

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 01 Apr 2022. There was the Letter From The Producer Live LXX today for Final Fantasy XIV where they spoke about the upcoming Patch 6.1 Newfound Adventure. It'll be releasing on the 12 Apr 2022, and a new trailer dropped for it as well, if you want to check it out. And then there's new main scenario quests, new side quests, new role quests, new beast tribe quests, new Hildabrand quests, new custom deliveries. And then they showed off a little bit the Duty Support System. And they explained in detail about how it's going to work. They are splitting some of the end game dungeons for 2.0 into smaller dungeons so that you're able to go through easier with the Duty Support System. And then in 6.1 there'll be a new dungeon, a new trial, a new unreal trial, a new Alliance Raid, and a new Ultimate Duty in Patch 6.11, which will come out two weeks after 6.1. And then they spoke briefly that there will be job adjustments and PvP updates, but more on that later. And then they spoke about more plot sales and how the housing lottery system is going to work. And then they talked about miscellaneous updates, including new hairstyles for the Hrothgar race. They showed off a few screenshots of what the new hairstyles can look like, and as well as other updates to the glamour system. Then they spoke about the job updates, how Machinist is getting a buff, basically because they're apparently too weak, and then Samurai and they're adjusting Dark Knight, Dragoon, Summoner, White Mage, Scholar. All of the classes are getting one update or another in order to balance them out. Then they spoke more about the Myths of the Realm Raid, which is coming in 6.1. The first part will be called Aglaia, and they showed off some of the environment of what it will look like. And then they showed off the new hub area for the new Beast Tribe called the Arkasodara, who is the elephant race that you encountered during the Endwalker main story, as well as showing off that you'll be able to get a lot of minions and mounts and other little gadgets by completing the Beast Tribe. And then they spoke about the new Parasol. The parasol is the umbrella that you will get, as well as new glasses and shades. And then they spoke in more details about how the housing lottery system is going to work. They're moving away from this idea of first come first serve. Instead, you'll have to go through and put down your bid, and essentially you could be picked at random. It eliminates the stress of having to camp out and try and get a house, the second it's available from dozens of other people that might be waiting. And then they showed off some of the gear sets for the alliance raid coming out. They showed some images of what the gear sets can look like. They spoke about the Extreme Trial which is coming out. And then they spoke about the Adventurer Plates. You'll be able to customize what your portrait looks like. You'll be able to change the image that's put alongside it with classes, your play style, stuff like that and you'll be able to save upwards initially 20 portraits which you can use and then later you'll be able to save up to 100. Then they spoke about the Crystalline Conflict which is a new PvP mode. The Crystalline Conflict essentially is like the escort mission that you might have seen in other PvP games. You have to escort an Orb from one end of the arena to another. And then they showed how when you're queuing in for the PvP your portrait that you put in the Adventurer Plate will show in the queue. Pretty much every single class is going to get an update to how their skills work and so on. PvP is essentially getting a complete revamp for 6.1. And they spoke about the different series which is essentially seasons and how you can earn experience points and you will earn rewards if you hit level 25 plus including different armor sets. And this is what the armor sets will look like for Series One so you have to wait and see what it will be like in the future. Then they spoke about the Garo Collaboration which is going to be coming back. It has previously been in the game and it will allow you to get new achievements, titles, gear sets for Shadowbringers and Endwalker jobs. Then they spoke about The Primals, which is a band which will be performing some music in Japan. They spoke about the Endwalker Art Book which you can buy as well as a Panasonic Soundslayer Wearable Immersive Gaming Speaker. On the 11 Apr 2022 just before the patch drops, they will have another live letter where they will will read through the entire patch notes. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you so much as always to all the new followers and I will see you tomorrow. Thanks guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

Not at all, I simply starting playing a lot of other games too.

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.

I have 10 years commercial experience as a website and database developer that I can fall back on. I was able to develop this entire website using my experience.
