FFXIV Tribal Quests: Namazu Unlock Guide

In this FFXIV guide, I show how to unlock the Namazu Beast Tribe. If you complete their daily quests you will get various useful rewards.

Unlocking Namazu Tribal Quests

Before aiding the Namazu in their quest for festival preparation and survival, you need to complete the "In Crimson It Began" main scenario quest in the Stormblood expansion. Once you have earned the trust of the Namazu, a series of tribal quests will become available, inviting Disciples of the Hand and Land to engage in a narrative that transcends mere task completion.

Your journey begins with a step into The Azim Steppe, where the Namazu's tale of resourcefulness and celebration awaits.

You can find them at Dhoro Iloh, The Azim Steppe (X: 5.8, Y: 23.4).

You can unlock them by doing the following quest:
Courage the Cowardly Lupin - NPC: Kurobana
Level 60
Yanxia (X: 30.9, Y: 17.8)

The Namazu Beast Tribe was added to Final Fantasy XIV in Patch 4.3.

First Contact: Meeting Kurobana

After completing the "In Crimson It Began" quest, Kurobana in Yanxia will guide you to Dhoro Iloh, where you will meet the Namazu. Engage in conversation with Kurobana to begin the quest chain that forms the foundation of your relationship with this beast tribe.

Through quests such as 'something Fishy This Way Comes" and "Kurobana vs. Gyorin", you build a mutual understanding and respect with the Namazu, opening doors to daily tasks and rewards.

The Key to Tribal Trust

Completing "Courage the Cowardly Lupin" is crucial for establishing your standing among the Namazu and gaining access to their daily quests. This pivotal quest, starting in Yanxia and leading to Dhoro Iloh, is your rite of passage and one of the main Namazu quests. It is here, in the company of the Namazu, that you pledge your support to their tribe and their festival preparations.
