FFXIV Tribal Quests: Sylph Unlock Guide

Step-by-Step Instructions

The Sylphs are a combat-focused Beast Tribe located in the East Shroud. They are one of the original tribes introduced in A Realm Reborn.

1. Complete the Main Scenario Prerequisite

Before you can unlock this tribe, you must progress the Main Scenario Questline (MSQ) until you complete the Level 41 quest "In Pursuit of the Past". This quest deals with the events at the Stone Vigil.

2. Locate Vorsaile Heuloise in Gridania

Once the prerequisite is met and you are at least Level 42 on a combat job, head to New Gridania. Locate the NPC Vorsaile Heuloise inside the Adders' Nest (Twin Adder HQ) at coordinates (X: 9.7, Y: 11.1).

3. Complete "Seeking Solace"

Accept the quest "Seeking Solace". This quest will direct you to travel to Little Solace in the East Shroud (X: 22, Y: 26). There, you will speak with the Sylph Elder to establish relations.

4. Begin Daily Quests

Upon completing the introduction, you will meet the Sylphs of Little Solace. You can then accept daily quests to earn EXP and reputation. These quests are excellent for leveling combat jobs in the 42-50 range.

Rewards

As you increase your reputation rank with the Sylphs, you will unlock various rewards for purchase with Sylphic Goldleaves (the tribal currency) or Gil:

• Mount: Laurel Goobbue
• Minion: Sylphhet
• Furnishing: Sylphic Vendor style items
• Materials: Various crafting materials and dyes

Lore of the Sylphs

The Sylphs are a race of small, plant-like folk who reside deep within the Black Shroud. While they are generally peaceful and mischievous, the "touched" Sylphs have summoned the Primal Ramuh. The faction at Little Solace consists of those who have not been tempered and wish to maintain peace with Gridania.
