FFXIV Job Unlock: White Mage Guide

A step-by-step guide to unlocking the White Mage job in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Unlock Quick Facts
Quest Name Seer Folly
Starting NPC E-Sumi-Yan (Conjurers' Guild)
Location Old Gridania (X: 6.3, Y: 10.6)
Prerequisites Level 30 Conjurer & "In Nature's Embrace"
Role Pure Healer

Step-by-Step Instructions

The White Mage is an advanced job that evolves from the Conjurer class. It was part of the original release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

1. Level Conjurer to 30

Your first step is to level the **Conjurer** class to Level 30. Conjurer is a starting class available in Gridania.

2. Complete Class Quests

You must complete all your Conjurer class quests up to Level 30. The final class quest is titled "In Nature's Embrace". If you have not done this, the job quest will not appear.

3. Accept "Seer Folly"

Once you have met the requirements, speak to E-Sumi-Yan in the Conjurers' Guild in Old Gridania (X: 6.3, Y: 10.6). He will send you to the South Shroud to meet with Raya-O-Senna.

You will be rewarded with:

  • Soul of the White Mage (Job Stone)
  • Healer's Attire Chest (Optional Gear)

4. Equip Your Soul Crystal

Don't forget to equip the Soul of the White Mage in your equipment menu (bottom right slot). This changes your class from Conjurer to White Mage and gives you access to powerful healing magic like Regen and Holy.

Why Play White Mage?

White Mage is the most straightforward "Pure Healer" in the game. It excels at raw healing output and has powerful tools to top up the entire party instantly (Benediction, Afflatus Rapture). It also has a unique resource called the "Lily Gauge" that allows for instant-cast heals, which eventually fuel a massive damage spell called "Afflatus Misery" (the Blood Lily).
