FFXIV Job Unlock: Sage Guide

A step-by-step guide to unlocking the Sage job in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.

Step-by-Step Instructions

The Sage is a Barrier Healer job introduced in the Endwalker expansion. It starts immediately at Level 70 and does not require a base class.

1. Reach Level 70

You must reach **Level 70** with any other Disciple of War or Magic job. You also need to have purchased the Endwalker or Dawntrail expansion on your account.

2. Locate the Sharlayan Maiden

Teleport to the main Aetheryte in **Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks**. The NPC **Sharlayan Maiden** is located just north of the Aetheryte plaza at coordinates **X: 9.4, Y: 12.9**.

3. Accept "Sage's Path"

Speak to the NPC to accept the quest. You will be tasked with assisting a Sharlayan envoy, which will lead you to obtaining your Nouliths.

You will be rewarded with:

Soul of the Sage (Job Stone)
Stonegold Milpreves (Level 70 Weapon)
Didact's Attire Coffer (Level 70 Gear)

4. Equip Your Soul Crystal

Equip the **Soul of the Sage** and the Milpreves to officially switch your job. You can now open the Attire Coffer to get your starting gear.

Why Play Sage?

Sage is a unique healer that heals allies by dealing damage. Through the "Kardia" mechanic, you designate a party member to receive healing every time you cast a damage spell. It offers high mobility with "Icarus" and powerful instant-cast shields via "Eukrasia," making it a very proactive and aggressive healer.
