Includes coordinates, maps, and quest requirements for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers.Il Mheg, the Kingdom of Rainbows, is a deceptively beautiful zone. While it looks open, the map is gated by story progression. You will initially be stuck in the Lydha Lran area and will need to defeat the Lightwarden of the zone before you can reach the northern and western currents.
Since the Endwalker update (Patch 6.0), the number of field currents has been reduced to 4. You will need to find these 4 field currents and complete 5 quests to unlock flying.
Field Aether Current Locations (The "Green Orbs")
Use your Aether Compass (Collection Menu) to verify these locations. Note that you must progress the MSQ to cross the lakes and mountains to reach most of these.

Almost all side quests in Il Mheg are locked until you complete the Level 73 Trial (Titania) and the quest "A Sovereign's Duty".

Essential Tips for Il Mheg
- Zone Progression: Do not try to run to Wolekdorf (Southwest) or the Gold Court (Northeast) immediately. Invisible walls and water will block you until the story opens the path.
- The Nu Mou: The quests near Pla Enni (The Nu Mou village) are some of the last you will unlock in this zone.
