FFXIV Tribal Quests: Moogle Unlock Guide

Step-by-Step Instructions

The Moogles are a crafting-focused Beast Tribe introduced in the Heavensward expansion (Patch 3.3). They are located in The Churning Mists. Warning: This tribe has the longest unlock chain in the game, requiring the completion of roughly 19 side quests.

1. Complete the Main Scenario

You must complete the Level 55 Main Scenario Quest "Into the Mists" to unlock the zone and the first set of side quests.

2. Complete the Side Quest Chains

You must complete two separate chains of side quests in The Churning Mists. If you cannot find a quest, ensure you have cleared all yellow quest markers in the zone.

Chain A: Mogleo's Quests

Start NPC: Mogleo (X: 29.7, Y: 35.3)

  • A Pebble for Your Thoughts
  • Spineless Wadjets
  • Far from Home
  • A Nuisance by Any Other Name

Chain B: Mogkul's Quests

Start NPC: Mogkul (X: 22.7, Y: 16.2)

  • Protecting the Pom
  • Save the Pomguard
  • Silencing the Warning Call
  • Into the Aery

3. Complete "Laying the First Brick"

Once both chains above are finished, the quest "Laying the First Brick" will become available from Mogkul (X: 27.2, Y: 34.5). This is the final prerequisite.

4. Accept "Tricks and Stones"

After completing "Laying the First Brick," switch to a Level 50+ Crafter class. Speak to the **Seething Stonemason** at (X: 27.2, Y: 34.5) to begin the tribal unlock quest.

Rewards

By increasing your reputation rank with the Moogles, you can purchase unique items using Carved Kupo Nuts:

  • Mount: Cloud Mallow (The big fluffy dandelion)
  • Minion: Wind-up Dragonet
  • Emote: Moogle Dance
  • Materials: Glass Fibers (for crafting) and various dyes.
