Locations of All Aether Currents in FFXIV Garlemald

A complete guide to unlocking flying in Garlemald. Includes the updated locations (Patch 7.0+), coordinates, and quest requirements for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.

Garlemald is a desolate, snow-covered ruin. Navigation can be tricky due to the debris and the fact that the zone has two main hubs: the surface camp (Camp Broken Glass) and the underground subway station (Tertium).

Update for Dawntrail (Patch 7.0): The number of field currents in Garlemald has been reduced from 10 to 4. You will need to find these 4 field currents and complete 5 Quests to unlock flying.

Field Aether Current Locations (The "Green Orbs")

Essential Tips for Garlemald

  • Tertium Station: Two of the quest currents are located inside the subway station (Tertium). You enter this area as part of the story. Do not try to look for these NPCs on the surface map.
  • Magitek Enemies: The zone is densely packed with high-level Magitek enemies. Be careful when grabbing the current near the Forum Patens in the northeast.

Embarking on this quest is an invitation to witness the heart of the Empire. From the frozen ruins of the capital to the survivors hiding in the station, every discovery brings you closer to mastering the skies of Garlemald.
