Before aiding the Amalj'aa in their quest for strength and survival, you need to complete the "In Pursuit of the Past" main scenario quest in the A Realm Reborn expansion. Once you have earned the trust of the Amalj'aa, a series of tribal quests will become available, inviting Disciples of War and Magic to engage in a narrative that transcends mere task completion.

Your journey begins with a step into Southern Thanalan, where the Amalj'aa's tale of resilience and power awaits.

You can find them at the Ring of Ash, Southern Thanalan (X:23, Y:14).

You can unlock them by doing the following quest:
Peace for Thanalan - NPC: Swift
Level 43
Ul'dah - Steps of Nald (X:8.4, Y:8.9)

The Amalj'aa Beast Tribe was added to Final Fantasy XIV in Patch 2.1.

First Contact: Meeting Swift

After completing the "In Pursuit of the Past" quest, Swift in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald will guide you to the Ring of Ash in Southern Thanalan, where you will meet the Amalj'aa. Engage in conversation with Swift to begin the quest chain that forms the foundation of your relationship with this beast tribe.

Through quests such as "Brotherly Love" and "Ceruleum on the Brain", you build a mutual understanding and respect with the Amalj'aa, opening doors to daily tasks and rewards.
