Locations of All Aether Currents in FFXIV The Peaks
A complete guide to unlocking flying in The Peaks. Includes the split map details, coordinates, and maps for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood.The Peaks is a mountainous region in Gyr Abania. Like The Fringes, this zone is split into two distinct areas. You will explore the northern cliffs early at Level 60, but you cannot reach the southern town of Ala Ghiri until Level 68.
Since the Endwalker update (Patch 6.0), the number of field currents has been reduced to 4. You will need to find these 4 field currents and complete 5 quests to unlock flying.
Field Aether Current Locations (The "Green Orbs")
Use your Aether Compass (Collection Menu) to verify these locations. Do not try to jump down the cliffs to reach the other side; you must wait for the story path.

- Be Patient: If you are Level 60-67, focus on the Ruby Sea and Azim Steppe. You cannot finish The Peaks until the story brings you back to liberate Ala Ghiri.
- Ziggurat Access: To reach the northernmost areas, you often have to go through the Ziggurat structure. Look for stairs and internal passages.
