In this FFXIV guide, I show how to unlock the Red Mage Job.Unlocking the Red Mage Job
To unlock the Red Mage job in FFXIV, you must first reach level 50 in any Disciple of War or Magic class. Then, head to Ul'dah - Steps of Thal and speak to the NPC named Distraught Lass at (X: 14.2, Y: 11.8) to start the quest "Taking the Red". This will begin your journey as a Red Mage.Follow the questline, and you'll unlock the Red Mage job, gaining access to its abilities and equipment.
The Red Mage job was added to Final Fantasy XIV in the Stormblood expansion and is a unique DPS role that combines both black and white magic with a stylish melee combat style.
First Steps as a Red Mage
