Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Capcom Showcase Summary
Capcom did a showcase last night showing off a few of their games that they're working on at the moment, but I was especially interested in all the announcements around Resident Evil. They spoke a lot about Resident Evil Village and updates coming to the game, including the Gold Edition, more Mercenaries mode, a DLC for Resident Evil Village, which I'll talk about later, and various more updates about Resident Evil 4 Remake. Feel free to watch the Resident Evil and Capcom Showcase. It's very interesting to watch.
RE 2 3 and 7 PS5 Upgrades
And the next bit of news for today is Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7 are getting Digital PlayStation 5 Upgrades. To access them, for example, let's go with Resident Evil 2 and then you have to select the PlayStation 4 version and you'll see it doesn't even give you an option to select the PlayStation 5 one. What you need to do, you need to come down here where it says "Free titles are coming to PlayStation Five". Click that and then it says here, view game, click on it and then you can download it. It's actually a purchased upgrade for PlayStation 5. It will be completely for free and then you can download the PlayStation 5 version, but it's a separate entry in the PlayStation Store.
Shadows of Rose Announced
The last bit of news for today is the Shadows of Rose DLC has been announced for Resident Evil Village. It will be coming out on the 28 Oct 2022. Throughout Resident Evil Village the main character, Ethan Winters, is trying to get Rose back, his daughter. His daughter is a baby during the game. Rose now in Shadows of Rose is grown up, so she's going to have her own story looking at more of what's going on in the world of Resident Evil Village, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.
