Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
The Order 1886 Trademark
PlayStation have renewed their trademark for The Order 1886, which is leading to speculation of a potential sequel. The application was made on 09 Dec 2021 and it was spotted by the website The Gamer. We will see if there's any more details about that in the future.
Hogwarts Legacy
And then the next bit of news for today is Warner Brother Games Avalanche team have sent out a tweet saying "Happy Holidays from the Avalanche team! We're excited to share more news and updates on Hogwarts Legacy next year." It was supposed to come out this year, but pandemic and so many issues going on, delays and so on. It is a game personally that I am very much looking forward to. When I first saw the announcement for the game, I was like, oh, this actually looks quite interesting. It is based before the story of the movies and the books. We will see what this game is like when we finally get more details about it.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC Lacks Options
Then the last bit of news for today is Final Fantasy 7 Remake has come out on PC, but players are complaining that it's overpriced and it seems to have a lack of options for PC customization, so you can change, for example, the texture quality, you can change the frame rate and that's basically it like the amount of options that came with Kingdom Hearts 3 on PC, which also came out from Square Enix recently far exceeds what's available for Final Fantasy VII Remake. A lot of people wanted to get Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC for the mods, and according to Nexus Mods there is already like 20 that have been developed, including getting Cloud to wear the dress throughout the entire game and stuff like that. We will see if Square Enix do anything about updating the game and so on. There were some also some complaints about stuttering issues as well, so it's not perfect and I do believe it's completely overpriced. I did report a couple of days ago that they had removed the pricing from the Epic Games Store and I had hoped that they would lower it to make it more realistic. But no in the UK, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is $93 or £70 so I will be avoiding it completely. That is so overpriced.
