Genshin Impact Patch 2.4 is going to be released on the 05 Jan 2022, and yesterday they did one of their Special Program Live streams where they delved into all of the new features coming in the patch, including a new zone, two new characters and various updates for the game. If you're still playing Genshin Impact know that the next major update is coming on 05 Jan 2022.
The next bit of news for today is Control by Remedy. Entertainment is going to be free on the Epic Games Store for the next few hours in case you want to redeem it. I would highly recommend it. I recently played through the Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5 and I absolutely loved it. It was incredible. In fact, I'm going to link to you my playlist below of my playthrough of the game in case you are curious about it. And I would say it's one of those games that you should redeem for free, definitely because it is so worth it. It really, really is.
And then the last bit of news for today is Final Fantasy 16 has actually been delayed. Naoki Yoshida, who is the producer of the game, sent out a message which says "Greetings everyone. When we last spoke, I promised I would have more information on Final Fantasy 16 sometime later in 2021. However, I regret to inform you that I will be unable to keep that promise as complications stemming from the ongoing pandemic have delayed the game's development by almost half a year. As the latest addition to the Final Fantasy series being developed for the PlayStation 5, Final Fantasy 16 has amassed a sizable team composed of talented creators from around the world. However, in an effort to offset the effects of the pandemic, we've had to decentralize that workforce by permitting staff to tackle their assignments from home. This has unfortunately hampered communication from the Tokyo office, which in turn has led to delays in or in extreme cases, cancellations of asset deliveries from our outsource partners. That said, we have spent much of 2021 addressing this issue and hope to see its impact to a minimum by the new year, allowing us to better focus on the tasks at hand, increasing graphic resource quality, refining combat mechanics, fleshing out individual battles, putting the finishing touches on cutscenes, and conducting overall graphical optimization. Our primary goal now is to be as hands on with the game as possible in order to see it fully polished. That leaves us with the question, when can we expect the next round of information? Well, I am happy to announce the current plan is to conduct our next big reveal in spring of 2022, as we seek to build excitement leading up to the game's eventual release. I deeply apologize to all those who have been looking forward to learning more about Final Fantasy 16 and thank you for your continued patience while we focused our combined efforts on development." They might be doing a Final Fantasy 16 Unleashed event just like they did with Final Fantasy 15. If you guys remember, they did like a big massive, almost like stage show showing all the features of Final Fantasy 15. We'll see if we get that for Final Fantasy 16 in the future. I can't wait to see more.
